Meet Heather Ross Ness, President and CEO
Heather is a highly accomplished professional, serving as the President and CEO of Summit VA LLC, a company that offers a wide range of services, including business development, strategic assessments, information technology operational and controls assessments, business process re-engineering, and organizational change management, to both government and private sector clients. With her roots firmly grounded in the Washington, D.C. area, Heather attended the National Cathedral School before earning degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Virginia.
With over 15 years of impeccable service at KPMG, Heather brings a wealth of experience to her role as CEO of Summit VA LLC. She is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor and Project Management Professional with a proven track record of leading large-scale transformation initiatives. In addition to her client-facing responsibilities, Heather has been consistently recognized throughout her career as an exceptional national instructor, people management leader, and mentor.
Heather is a graduate of Leadership Greater Washington's Signature class of 2022 and currently serves on the board of directors for several organizations, including the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA), the Government Financial Officers Association - Washington Metro Area (GFOA-WMA), and the D.C. Chamber of Commerce. Her unwavering commitment to excellence and dedication to serving her community make her a valuable asset to the organizations she serves.
